클럽하우스에 대한 BBC / Guardians 를 읽고 기사 요약하기.
영어는 정말 끝도 없이 없구나..를 느끼는 매일이다.
방탄소년의 RM이 그랬더라.. 언어는 안 하면 까먹는다고.
해외생활을 하고 있는 나도, 쓰는 언어만 쓰기 때문에 언어 사용의 폭이 줄어든다는 생각이 많이 들었다.
그래서 시작한 나의 첫 글, about Clubhouse.

What is Clubhouse?
Name Clubhouse reminds me of something like a house party or a club.
Clubhouse is different from Instagram. It's not a visual-oriented platform.
It's an invite-only social networking platform that you can do conference calls and talkback radio based on your interests. It's an audio-based app where you can literally talk to others in virtual rooms that you can hop in and out of.
In this app, you can talk about anything and everything. This is the beauty of the app, I guess.
Often, you can talk to celebs, politicians, professors, CEOs, or other influential people.

I've been in several chat rooms where we discuss branding, marketing, or networking.
Popularity
Yes, this app is relatively new and emerging on social media platforms.

The app is booming even in Korea, China, and Japan. Lots of people are hunting for invites.
Surprisingly, I can easily find rooms that are written in Chinese.
Even though with China's strong censorship and suppression, Clubhouse had flown under the radar of China's firewall for several months. It became very popular in recent weeks, attracting large numbers of Chinese users.
I guess.. this app attracts Chinese people under the impression of "freedom of expression".
Chinese people are often afriad of freely expressing themselves. So, the Clubhouse app provides an opporunity for them to discuss any topic without censorship
I saw the news on BBC that Chinese people are buying invites on E-commerce sites.
It's a valuable commercial item that can be purchased for around 23 dollars.
Do I like it?
I absolutely love it. I'm so into it.
I can share my thoughts and ideas among my peers (I would say.. e-friends) without any boundaries.
Also, I met some amazing people working in the same field.
It's absolutely good for networking and for having meaningful conversation.
"Informative, meaningful and valuable".
I've been in a room called "Small brand but the greatest journey".
I've received massive inspiration and motivation.
